Mr. Warren was Veteran of the United States Army and proudly served our country for 22 years, having been stationed in several States, France, Germany, Korea and two tours of duty in Vietnam where he was exposed to Agent Orange which caused multiple health problems.After retirement in 1976, Mr.Warren worked in Saudi Arabia and at Neptune Water Works in Tallassee, AL.In 1978 Mr. Warren began working for the United States Postal Service and retired from there in June, 1999 after 21 years of service.
![]() Mr. Warren is survived by the love of his life, Barbara Culpepper Ozier Warren. Mr. Warren and Barbara were Sweethearts back in the 50s growing up just a fourth of a mile apart, East of Eclectic, AL they have known each other since he was 12 years old and she was 6 years old. When he joined the Army in 1954, after Basic Training, he was stationed in France and before he left for that tour of duty, they made plans to get married when he returned in 1958 and she would graduate from high school that year. Thirty-Five years later they each lost their spouses to cancer. They both believe that God already had a wonderful plan for them to get back together. They were Wed on October 22, 1994, forty years after those first marriage plans were made in 1954. Mr. Warren is also survived by a step-daughter, Phyllis Ozier of Saraland, AL; step-son, Wm. Craig Ozier and his wife, Lynsey Dawson Ozier of Deatsville, AL; seven step-grandchildren, A.J. Johnston, Jr.(Hazen) of Hampton, VA, Daniel Johnston (Skye) of Hampton, VA and Tennessee, respectively, Wm. Kyle Ozier (Casey Ward) of Troy, AL, Alyssa Ozier of Wetumpka, AL, Victoria Ozier of Deatsville, AL, Trace Davis and Chance Davis of Deatsville, AL and numerous, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mr. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Miri Song Warren; three sisters, Mozelle Warren(Infant), Margaret Warren Blankenship (Harvey), Mary Alice Warren Moore (Olden); three brothers, Hartwell Warren(infant), Jack C. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 19, 2020 from 11:00Am -1:00PM at Southern Memorial Funeral Home, 3154 Highland Avenue, Montgomery, AL. A Graveside Service will follow at 2:00PM in Prattville Memorial Gardens, Hwy 14 in Prattville, AL conducted by their Pastor Bro. Mike Vineyard and a very special friend, Huston Waters followed by Military Honors. Pallbearers will be A. J. Johnston, Jr., Daniel Johnston, Kyle Ozier, Trace Davis, Karl Jacob and Jim Ford. A special Thank You to the nurses of Kindred Home Health and Encompass Hospice, they cared for Mr. Warren with great skill, concern and compassion.
